Great toilet seat riser

My 92 year old Dad really likes the toilet seat riser. The side handles help him so much to stand up. The higher toilet seat makes it easier for him to get up also.

Just What I Needed and Arrived Right On Time!

This toilet seat riser was just want I needed for my 90 YO Dad's visit to my home. It was easy to install, and it's been easy to clean. I really liked that I could use my existing toilet seat with it as that assured me that the seat would be comfortable. My Dad said it is working very well for him. Glad I found this product and would recommend to anyone needing to temporarily raise toilet seating for elderly and/or injured persons. I bought directly from Vive.

The most appreciated purchase…

…is this seat (and the company that got it to me). Our Koehler elongated toilets with soft close lid were new in 2018. We had to purchase a new $10 seat to line up the holes and be able to have a seat and lid on top of the riser. A small glitch as I just had to use the toilet without a seat and a lid for 2 days until husband got new seat. It’s best to take the seat with you to the store to compare size since there are multiple variables out there.

Very thankful for this company: online ordering was open until 9pm so I was able to have questions answered, ask to have it shipped from the closest warehouse in PA, place and pay for the order. It arrived before the promised date and was in place before my total hip replacement. No other company would have delivered that quickly.

I had earlier bought Vive’s leg lifter (Amazon $24.99) before I knew I could order direct from Vive. Worth every cent of the extra $15 over the limp and floppy $10 models on Amazon. Use it multiple times day and night; this is NOT the item you want to save a few dollars on.

Good Product

My husband is disabled and would sometimes fall getting on or off the toilet as he doesn't have much strength in his legs. This seat has made all the difference. Just make sure you have the bolt through seat to go with it. My son and I found one at Home Depot.

How To Assemble And Install A Toilet Seat Riser?


How wide is the toilet elevator?

The raised toilet seat is 13.89” wide and the distance between the removable handles is 19” wide.

Does this riser sit under a regular toilet seat?

Yes! This riser can be installed under a regular toilet seat.

Does this only fit on standard toilets?

The raised toilet seat is available for both standard and elongated toilets.

How do I know if my toilet is standard or elongated?

Standard toilets are more circular and length and width measurements will be very close. Elongated toilets are more oval in appearance. The length of an elongated toilet will be several inches longer than the width. 

Will this work with my kohler toilet?

Yes, the riser can be used with any standard size toilet.

How high are the handles from the seat base?

The removable handles are 9.5” high from the toilet rim.

Can I use it without the handles?

Yes! The handles are optional and can be removed by pushing the locking pins and pulling the arms out of the base.

What is the maximum weight limit?

The riser safely supports up to 300 pounds.

Does the seat riser come with toilet seat and lid?

No, purchase only includes riser. You should attach your existing seat & lid to top of riser

Can this be used alone, without a regular toilet seat?

How do I install the toilet seat riser?

 

  • Remove the existing toilet seat and lid from the toilet and place the toilet seat riser on the rim of toilet, ensuring the lip underneath the riser is inside the bowl.
  • Attach the original toilet seat and lid on top of the toilet seat riser using the included hardware.
  • Thread the screws through the holes in the back of the seat with the plastic washers on the top of each screw and the metal washers on the bottom.
  • Tighten each screw with the butterfly nuts for a secure fit.

How To Attach Removable Handles:

  • Find the right side handle marked with an “R” and a blue arrow. The left side handle is marked with an “L” and a red arrow
  • Slide each arm into the seat by pressing the brass pin on the arm and sliding each arm into position. Make sure the pin is facing out
  • You will hear a click and see the pin emerge through the positioning hole when the arm is in place

How To Install:

  • Remove the existing toilet seat and lid from the toilet
  • Place the toilet seat riser on the rim of the toilet and center as necessary. Make sure the lip underneath the riser is inside the bowl
  • Attach the original toilet seat and lid on top of the toilet seat riser using the included hardware. Thread the screws through the holes in the back of the seat. The plastic washers are placed on the top of the screw and the metal washers are placed on the bottom. Tighten each screw with the butterfly nuts
