Works like a charm

Had hip replacement surgery 1 week ago. Thought compression socks could be put on by hubby ( nice try, but not)....just received this product and it works perfectly....not a stretch or strain needed

Great Product!

Please give my kudos to the Product Design Team! Severe Osteoarthritis in my left hip makes it virtually impossible to bend over to put a sock on my left foot. A quick internet search turned up the 'Sock Helper' - what a great and practical device! Took a couple of tries to get used to using it, but it's an indispensable aid to me now! Again, great job!

Still going strong

I first obtained this item many years ago. I thought it was an interesting idea, and that I might actually need it one day. Well, "one day" has come, and my incipient antiquity has made bending over to pull on my socks no longer an option. I brought my trusty sock-puller-oner up out of hiding, and I can honestly say that since doing so, I have used it every day. EVERY DAY. At age 70, it was an interesting idea, stashed away in some far-forgotten corner. By age 75 I realized that bending and reaching was becoming an inconvenience. Now at age 87? it is part of my daily life. No device? No socks. That simple.

it's just ok!

It's just ok! I have a men's size13 shoe/sox, and I wear compression knee-high sox. With all levels of compression it is a challenge to get the sox on the device, but once on it works well. It is also a challenge at 82 to just get the compression sox on my feet without the device making it for me the lessor of 2 evils. Ability to compress and expand the sleeve would be helpful. As an engineer this concept is excellent but the implementation needs improvement.

great idea but needs improvement

I wear over the calf socks and they are virtually impossible to install on the plastic sleeve. Need to be able to compress the sleeve to get the sock to fit over the plastic. Really need your ingenuity.

Does the Vive sock assist work with compression socks?

Yes, the sock assist can be used with any type of sock or hosiery, including compression socks.

How wide is the opening for your foot?

The sock assist opening is 4” wide.

Can I use the sock assist with my large, wide feet?

Yes, it is flexible to accommodate a wide range of sizes.

Does it have something to help put the heel of the sock on?

It is best to have as much of the sock on the device before starting. Pulling up the sock and sock assist in one smooth motion, while pointing the toes downward, should allow the sock assist and sock to slide around the heel and up the calf to the desired position.

Will the sock assist work with ankle socks?

Yes, the sock assist works well with ankle socks.

Would I be able to use this with one hand?

Yes, it is possible to pull both cords with one hand, taking care to ensure cords are pulled equally.

Are there instructions on how to use it?

First, pull the sock over the Sock Assist Device as far as the sock will go. Place the Sock Assist Device on the floor, keeping the handles in your hands. Then insert your foot through the opening and smoothly pull the handles until your sock is completely over your foot.

Will this work with a child size sock?

Because the sock assist is flexible it may be able to handle an older child’s sock, however, the sock assist is 4” wide and may be too large to handle small children’s socks.

Can it be used with nylons without ripping them?

Yes, the sock assist has a smooth, rounded edge to prevent snags and runs.

Does this stretch out the top of your socks?

The sock assist only stretches a sock during the brief amount time it takes to put them on leaving the elastic fully intact, however, leaving a sock on the device for long periods of time may deform your sock.

How long are the adjustable cords?

The cord length is 33”.
